Ten things to give up

Everyone is always saying that you shouldn’t give up. We’ve all heard the classic quotes…

  • Keep on trying…
  • If at first you don’t succeed; try, try again
  • Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m Possible”
  • The secret to success is to never give up
  • If you give up, it means you never wanted it
  • It will take time, effort, blood, sweat and tears. But I will get there.
  • Never give up

I could go on and on… there are 1000’s of quotes like this… You get it…

I sell LuLaRoe and I see so many people doing these things that they just need to stop doing. So… help me out here… and just stop doing these things… Like this minute…. Just STOP these things! Don’t make excuses just quit them…. Quit them right now!

  1. Fear of failure – We tell ourselves all the time… you aren’t good enough, you don’t deserve it, what if I fail… Well ok… maybe… BUT what if you don’t??? Did you stop to ask yourself what then?
  2. Fear of Success – Do not be scared to succeed! Success is relative so what is your success is not for the next person. Find your happy place and live there!
  3. Overthinking! When you over think every single decision you make, you end up worrying WAY more than you need to. STOP it. Make a decision, trust yourself and your gut intuition and move on! Stop worrying so much.
  4. Excuses – There is no excuses to not doing what you need to do.¬† Do it right now… procrastinating doesn’t make it easier or more fun. Just go get it done!
  5. Negative People – Have fun being yourself and don’t let others bring you down. We are all a little bit broken, learn to live with the pieces. Love yourself and don’t let others bring you down.
  6. Negative thoughts – There is no room for negativity in your life or you will become all about negative things. No one wants to be around that side of the magnet.
  7. Saying YES when you want to say No. NO is a complete sentence. Say it when you need to. Do not be afraid of hurting someone’s feelings or making them upset. If you need to say “NO” then say it.
  8. Over-Complaining – When all you do is complain, then you don’t appreciate the small things. Stop complaining, find the silver lining. Look for the good. If you look for it, you will find it!
  9. Judging Others – It’s so hard not to judge and you do it without thinking. But when you make a negative judgement stop yourself. Ask – could there be a reason they are doing that, or acting like that. There probably is… people want to be good. Give them the benefit of the doubt. You haven’t walked in their shoes.
  10. Comparing yourself to others – You are not me… and I am not you. Our destinations might be the same, but our journey’s maybe very different. Do not compare yourself, instead decide on goals that will get you to where you want to go and work towards those.

I am as guilty as the next person for falling victim to these things. However, I think we are all better than that. Be proud, be empathetic, help others, and do it with grace and love. Ask for help when you need it, and don’t be afraid to be yourself!

First World Problems

So as you all probably know I live in Central Wisconsin. Most springs and moving into summer you can find a wide variety of temperatures and storms roll through. This year has been no exception.

We went from temps in the 50’s to the high 80’s. We’ve had light rain, no rain and everything in between. I watched a town very close to my hometown be devastated by a tornado this spring. To top all that off I’m realizing how accustomed we’ve become to first world things. You know like power, showers, hot water and on demand TV and internet.

On Monday night a storm with high powered winds and crazy amounts of rained washed though the city I live in. We haven’t had power since then. My 11 year old has been forced to interact with us. We had to throw away all our fridge food. And realizing what it’s like to ‘camp’ from your house hasn’t been the most fun experience ever.

Despite the #firstworldproblem endurance plan we seem to be on not having power has brought us; we have made some fun memories along the way. We ‘rescued’ the LuLaRoe stuff from the basement that tends to flood. (Luckily it hasn’t yet).

We roasted marshmallows outside on an lighter.

We watched tv shows we had downloaded from iTunes on an iPad as a family and above all we talked. I know I’m shocked too!

So while our property damage was minimal our memories will not be. While I don’t want to go through another 52 hours without power we will survive! Even without showers (and I really miss showers).

So back to the grind people and remember there are many people out there who don’t even know what electricity is. Let alone take it for granted. I can’t even imagine what they would think of the internet and our tv habits.

So messy hair and all. I’ll just be thankful for the things I do have! I’m thankful that LuLaRoe helps me have the things we usually take for granted. What are you thankful for???

What is your favorite?

There are so many amazing and yet different styles of LuLaRoe you can choose from. I get asked all the time…. What is your favorite? So…. let me tell you what are my favorites and why…. I’ll also include some fellow consultants thoughts on a few of these styles so you can get their takes on them too!

My absolute…. hands down…. most amazing style (in my opinion) favorite is the MAXI skirt…. Not only are these just amazing skirts…. they can be worn a million ways, tied, knotted, as a dress, etc. There are lots of patterns and solids to choose from so no matter what you are destined to find one you really like.

My Second favorite style is the CLASSIC TEE. It’s got a scoop neck and still has the tunic high/low bottom styling so it covers your ummm… backside! (Seriously a necessity in life!) It can be paired with everything including; leggings, Cassie, Maxi, Azure, etc. My almost 12 year old loves this style as well and wears her Classics with Leggings all the time!

The third style that is a must have for any LuLaRoe lover is the CARLY dress! It’s just freaking amazing! This is a swing style dress that allows you to cover your butt cheeks while bending over. I have found that I LOVE this dress for so many reasons! It’s comfy, it’s stylish, I can wear it to work, I can wear it to the park or when sitting all day at a taekwondo competition.

In the winter I love to pair it with some cute leggings and knee high boots and in the summer I usually make my leggings into capris and wear sandals. I just LOVE my Carly! Recently LLR released the Scarlett which is really just the Carly for kids… if you have a little girl in your life you really should try one!

These are by far my most favorite styles… my friend Kelley Erickson says that the Carly is her favorite but a close second in her book is the PERFECT Tee. The Perfect is a cute and has fun slits on the sides. These are fun to knot and it’s super cute with leggings or skirts.

Jenni Jacewitz loves the Classic, Carly and Leggings… she can be seen wearing those LLR buttery soft leggings while playing with her daughter, taking a trip to the beach or putzing around the house! She is a leggings collector and loves to make Mommy and Me sets to match her Threenager. (Yeah if you have a toddler you know that’s a thing).

There are lots of other styles that are AMAZING, but these are our favorites! What is your favorite? and why?

Disney Line coming soon!

Last night LuLaRoe announced that it will be officially partnering with Disney to launch a Disney line. You all have no idea how excited I am to see what amazing things they have thought up and will be bringing to all of us!

We know from pictures that they are launching Disney items in every (or almost every) style. Stay tuned as we learn more!

Wicking Slipshort

Who knew that you could make dresses and skirts even more amazing? I did not understand that you could wear them without feeling super uncomfortable!

I never had a problem with actually wearing dresses or skirts. I mean they are cute, fashionable and generally just make you feel pretty. However, with that said… the downsides were always my show stoppers! You know… my thunder thigh, chub rub, sweat dripping grossness that comes with wearing these garments.

Then I found these amazing things! Wicking slipshorts! Not only are they inexpensive, but they work! They double as a slip/short and they are not super hot. I was kind of worried I’d be sweating even more, but I didn’t!

Run, don’t walk… to your local Wal-Mart (they probably sell them other places too) to get yourself a pair and try them with your favorite dress or skirt! My favorite times to wear these is under my Carly dresses or Maxi skirts. Let me know if you try them what you think!
